"Spirit" by Jewel is an album i can't praise enough, No matter if it was posted as Artist of the month or any other time it would be a special occasion for me to share this amazing album!. There is nothing in the world that sounds like this album. If people are aware of Jewel's Alaskan wilderness upbringing it really shows in the album Spirit. With intrumentation to send chills down your spine and a haunting and beautiful voice makes it one of the best "Alternate Pop" albums ever recorded.

Songs like "Enter from the East", "Whats Simple Is True", "Kiss The Flame" both musically and lyrically send you on a soothing trip into the Alaskan wilderness, If you have ever seen the music video for "Whats Simple is true" this is reflected in its visual beauty. The final track This Little Bird is a song that Jewel's mother used to sing to her as a child. They sing this song together in a beautiful melody.

This album really is a masterpiece, an album i have had treasured in my collection since its original release. I would often relax with the lights out to this album and drift away to a beautiful wilderness. Everyone must hear this ~ Anthony
