Mary Black

Mary Black is an Irish singer-songwriter from a huge musical family, her father had been a fiddler, her mother a singer, and her brothers had their own group called The Black Brothers, Mary's sister Frances Black is also a successful solo artist.
Mary's self titled debut album was released in 1983, she has since released a further ten albums, as well as compilations and a live album, she was named 'Best Female Artist' in the IRMA poll in 1987, 1988, 1992, 1994 and 1996.
