Moya/Máire Brennan is best known as the voice of Celtic/New Age family group Clannad.Singer-songwriter, pianist and harpist Moya/Máire is the eldest of nine children, and she's the sister of Enya, her family formed Clannad in 1970. There has long been confusion regarding how Máire's name is pronounced, although written Máire, it is actually pronounced Moya, after years of being called Mary, Mare and various other names, Máire decided to change the spelling in 2003.
'Máire' released in June 1992 is Moya's debut solo album, her sister's Brídín and Deirdre provide backing and harmony vocals on the album, whilst Moya herself plays the harp, piano and keyboards.
