Kate Price - Deep Heart's Core

Kate Price is an American multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and vocalist, who specialises in fusing Celtic, New Age and ethnic music using instruments from many cultures in the world.
'Deep Heart's Core' released in 1995 is Kate's sixth album, although her first four releases were on small independant labels and don't seem to be available. Kate's fifth album 'The Time Between' is already posted and seemed very popular, I hope you enjoy this one too. For those unfamiliar with Kate, her style is very similar to Loreena McKennitt.

Peter Grant - New Vintage

Peter Grant is a British singer who began singing at the age of six and played at working men's clubs from the age of 12.
'New Vintage' released in April 2006 is Peter's debut album, and was recorded and released while Peter was around 17-18 years of age. The album consists of well known songs from the '50's, '60's and '70's, and recorded with an easy listening/soft jazz feel, included is 'Joanna' made famous by Scott Walker, two Beatles songs, 'The Fool On The Hill' and 'I Saw Her Standing There', 'We've Only Just Begun' made famous by The Carpenters, and Barry White's 'You're The First, The Last, My Everything'. Peter's mature vocal style has been likened to that of Frank Sinatra, and he was hailed as the U.K's answer to Harry Connick Jr.

Erin Rocha - Paper Wings

Erin Rocha is a British singer from Poole, a port on the south coast of the UK. As a fifteen year old shoolgirl, Erin booked some time in a recording studio to record three vocal tracks as a present for her grandfather, coincidentally her school sent her back to the same studio a year later for work experience. Whilst Erin was at the recording studio, they were working on a track which was to be sent to Norah Jones, when the session singer failed to turn up, remembering her cutting the tracks for her grandfather, Erin was asked to fill in and record the song 'Can’t Do Right For Doing Wrong’. Singer Eddie Grant, who was also using the studio happened to hear the song and took it to the studio boss, this resulted in Erin keeping the song, and recording her own album! 'Paper Wings' released in August 2004 when Erin was around 16/17, is sadly her only album, and she didn't get to become that well known, her style is relaxed and layed back, and very hard to define, this is definitely a little gem which should be snapped up...it comes HIGHLY recommended.

Andrew Johnston - One Voice

Andrew Johnston is a fourteen year old Scottish boy soprano who rose to fame when he finished in third place on the second series of the British television talent show Britain's Got Talent. Although he did not win the series, he was signed to judge Simon Cowell's record label.
'One Voice' released on September 29th 2008 is Andrew's debut album, it features cover versions of several classical favourites, as well as 'Walking In The Air', which is a duet with fellow Britain's Got Talent contestant Faryl Smith, the song is rumoured to be released as a single in time for Christmas 2008, and if so is tipped as this years Christmas number one.

Teatro

Teatro, which is Italian for 'theatre', are a classical vocal group consisting of four members : Jeremiah James, Andrew Alexander, Simon Bailey and Stephen Rahman-Hughes.
Teatro's self titled debut album was released in November 2007, and features songs from musical theatre including 'Music Of The Night' (Phantom of the Opera), 'Maria' (West Side Story), 'Don't Cry For Me, Argentina' (Evita), 'Over The Rainbow' (The Wizard Of Oz) and 'Love Changes Everything' (Aspects Of Love). Between them the songs have won 23 Oscars, 11 Golden Globes, 39 Tony Awards and 3 Grammys.
The album features the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and was produced by Nick Patrick, who has produced hits for Russell Watson and Katherine Jenkins.

Mary Black

Mary Black is an Irish singer-songwriter from a huge musical family, her father had been a fiddler, her mother a singer, and her brothers had their own group called The Black Brothers, Mary's sister Frances Black is also a successful solo artist.
Mary's self titled debut album was released in 1983, she has since released a further ten albums, as well as compilations and a live album, she was named 'Best Female Artist' in the IRMA poll in 1987, 1988, 1992, 1994 and 1996.

Máire Brennan - Máire

Moya/Máire Brennan is best known as the voice of Celtic/New Age family group Clannad.
Singer-songwriter, pianist and harpist Moya/Máire is the eldest of nine children, and she's the sister of Enya, her family formed Clannad in 1970. There has long been confusion regarding how Máire's name is pronounced, although written Máire, it is actually pronounced Moya, after years of being called Mary, Mare and various other names, Máire decided to change the spelling in 2003.
'Máire' released in June 1992 is Moya's debut solo album, her sister's Brídín and Deirdre provide backing and harmony vocals on the album, whilst Moya herself plays the harp, piano and keyboards.

Malachi

Malachi Cush is a singer-songwriter from Donaghmore, a small village in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. Malachi was a contestant in the first series of Fame Academy, which was a reality talent show, aired by the BBC in 2002, Malachi came in fifth place, the show was won by David Sneddon, British soul singer Lemar was also part of this competition, and came in third place.
Malachi's self titled debut album was released in March 2003, and reached number seventeen on the U.K Albums Chart. The album contains two self penned songs 'Just Say You Love Me' and 'Eyes Of Blue', the rest are covers of songs by other well known singer-songwriters such as Van Morrison, Don McLean, Sting and Garth Brooks.

Olivia Newton-John - Grace And Gratitude

This "healing" CD was released in Walgreens Stores in America at the end of September 2006. It launched Olivia's signature line of body, heart and spirit wellness products for women.

The CD was recorded in Toronto, Canada with Amy Sky who also produced and co-wrote the CD. Olivia has worked in the past with Amy. Amy co-wrote the haunting Winter Angel and other songs for Olivia's 1988 Rumour CD. Most recently they worked together for the Stronger Than Before CD.

Blake - And So It Goes

'And So It Goes' released on September 29th 2008 is the second album for Dominic Tighe, Jules Knight, Oliver Baines and Stephen Bowman, known collectively as Blake.
The album features many cover versions of famous songs, such as Katie Mellua's 'The Closest Thing To Crazy', 'Time To Say Goodbye', made famous by Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman, 'Up Where We Belong' from the movie An Officer And A Gentleman, starring Richard Gere, and sung by Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes,
and for me personally, the highlight of the album, Snow Patrol's
'Chasing Cars', in which Blake's passionate and atmospheric interpretation, certainly gives the original a run for it's money.

Jon Mark - A Celtic Story

Jon Mark is a British composer, instrumentalist and vocalist who was a top session musician during the 1960's. During the 1970's Jon was a co-founder and member of the Mark-Almond band, along side Jonny Almond. During the 1980's Jon moved to New Zealand and founded the White Cloud Record Label. 'A Celtic Story' released in 1995 consists of Celtic instumental music, which is centred around a story of when Vikings attacked an Irish Celtic community.

Caroline Lavelle - Spirit

Caroline Lavelle is a British singer-songwriter and cellist, who contributes vocals, music, and production help to many other artists and bands. Caroline is also a cellist in Loreena McKennitt's band, appearing on Loreena's recordings, as well as touring live.
'Spirit' released in September 1995 is Caroline's debut solo album, it's produced by William Orbit, and consists of a mixture of ambient and electronic music, but also with a distinct Celtic flavour. Caroline Lavelle, although relatively unknown, seems to have a loyal fanbase of those lucky enough to have discovered her music, this album comes HIGHLY recommended.

Celtic Woman - The Greatest Journey

Celtic Woman is a musical ensemble comprising six Irish female artists: vocalists Chloë Agnew, Órla Fallon, Lynn Hilary, Lisa Kelly, Alex Sharpe and fiddler Máiréad Nesbitt, Hayley Westenra was once a member of the group for a time during 2007, and features on their 'Celtic Woman: A New Journey' album and DVD, as well as touring with them and being part of their Slane Castle concert. The group's repertoire ranges from traditional Celtic tunes to modern songs.
'Celtic Woman - The Greatest Journey : Essential Collection' was released in Asia at the end of September 2008, it's due for release in the U.K on October 13th. The album is a compilation of songs from their previous albums, with the addition of some previously unreleased material.
